WelcomeI am an evidence-based organisational effectiveness consultant with twenty five years experience working with clients in private, public and not-for-profit sectors. I am a strategic thinker with a talent for looking at things in a new way and rapidly identifying the key issues. I believe that organisations perform a critical role in modern society, providing both meaningful work for their employees as well as useful and valuable services to their customers (profitably or cost effectively depending on the sector). Helping organisations do both of these as well as they possibly can is the focus of my work. I consult and advise organisations in the areas of organisational strategy and effectiveness, helping clients become clear on their business model and align their structure, processes and people with this. I provide one to one coaching for directors, senior managers and business owners in small and medium sized organisations, senior managers in the HR function in larger organisations, and also for any individuals at transition points in their careers. I undertake bespoke research, modelling and analysis projects for organisations helping them understand their markets, customers and employees better. I am a regular writer and speaker on the subjects of Learning & Development and the application of Positive Psychology (including strengths focused solutions) and neuroscience. I am available for conference speaking as well as in-organisation bite size learning sessions. My clients comment on the multifaceted nature of the support I provide, the practical insight and wisdom that I impart and my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply. I use my coaching skills to help clients find solutions to their problems. I am currently Principal Consultant at the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), a not-for-profit organisation focused on improving the quality of HR, OD and people management.
